The Trenton TSB7053 single board computer features a quad core Intel® Xeon® E-1200 Series processor and PCI Express® Gen 2 functionality to provide a versatile high performance-computing platform. The TSB7053 is a PICMG® 1.3 system host board (SHB) that automatically configures its PCI Express links to function with either server or graphics-class PICMG 1.3 backplanes.

The Intel® Xeon® E-1200 series processors provide quad-core, multi-threaded performance with increased thermal efficiency. These processors feature integrated memory and I/O controllers, Intel® QuickPath Interconnect Technology, Intel® Virtualization Technology and integral PCI Express Gen 1.1 and Gen 2.0 interface links. The JXT6966’s four memory sockets support the latest PC3-8500 or PC3-10600 DDR3 DIMM technology. Up to 32GBytes can be installed using 8GByte DDR3 DIMM modules.

The PCI Express links on the TSB7053 support one PCIe x16 or two PCIE x8 graphics cards as well as multiple x1, x4 or x8 PCIe expansion cards. Other TSB7053 features include three 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet interfaces, ten USB 2.0 interfaces and six SATA II/300 interfaces with RAID support. The TSB7053 utilizes the processors integrated graphic controller to provide two independent video interfaces. The rear mounted I/O bracket VGA connector supports analogue signals while the onboard DVI connector provides a digital only interface.

To ensuring proper board alignment and stability in high vibration environments Trenton incorporated a rear-mounted board stiffener bar that runs the full length of the TSB7053 SHB.
